Classroom wikis

Does anyone know what a wiki is? How do they work?
Think about this and check out some wikis on the internet- you might trying searching classroom wikis. Once you have some information on wikis, head over to the class wiki page - CardinalCollaborations - using the link below.
How could we use a classroom wiki page to raise our level of reading and writing?

  1. I didn't look it up but I think a wiki means quick or fast so that means that a wiki is a fast way for someone to make changes. I like using the class wiki for the speech tips. It would have been fun to do a wiki with another school that was taking the LCC speech class at the same time. Other students and teachers might have ideas that we didn't think of and may have helped us. How hard is this going to be if not everyone has access to a computer and internet? You can't hog the computer lab every day:)

  2. I joined your Cardinal Collaborations wiki and found it very easy to edit. I believe this would be a fun way to have students contribute ideas. This might even encourage those students who shy away from classroom discussions to contribute. The only drawback, like Tyler mentioned, would be access.
